Overview
ZenFlip (“the App”) is developed by Simone Ruggiero. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.
Data Collection
ZenFlip does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account and no backend of ours: apart from subscription management (see below), the App makes no network requests at all.
Motion Sensors
- The App reads the device’s motion sensors (accelerometer/gyroscope, via Apple’s Core Motion) for one purpose only: to detect when the phone is placed face down, which starts a focus session, and when it is picked up again, which ends it.
- Motion data is processed live on the device, is never recorded, stored or transmitted, and is not used to infer anything else about you.
Focus Data
- Your focus sessions, streaks, statistics and settings are stored locally on your device.
- Nothing is synced to iCloud or any other cloud service, and deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
Usage Data
- No analytics, crash-reporting or usage-tracking SDKs.
- No advertising identifiers (no IDFA) and no cross-app tracking.
Session reminders and alerts are scheduled and shown locally on your device. Widgets and Live Activities display data already stored on the device. We do not send push notifications from any server.
Third-Party Services
- RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. It receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier, purchase and subscription history, and the store country, not linked to your identity. See their Privacy Policy.
- Apple StoreKit — processes in-app purchases; all payment data is handled directly by Apple under its privacy policy. We do not have access to your payment information.
- Refund requests: if you request a refund for an in-app purchase on the Apple App Store, Apple may ask us — via RevenueCat — to share data about your use of the App related to that purchase (“consumption data”) to help Apple decide on the refund, in line with Apple’s guidelines. This data is used only to process the refund request.
- We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Children’s Privacy
ZenFlip does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
