StockDock (“the App”) is developed by Simone Ruggiero and is available for iPhone and Mac. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.
StockDock does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in and no backend of ours. We receive nothing from the App.
Your watchlist, portfolios, holdings, price alerts, snapshots and settings are stored on your device, in the App’s own storage. Deleting the App removes them.
To show quotes, charts and search results, the App requests market data directly from Yahoo Finance (query1.finance.yahoo.com, query2.finance.yahoo.com). Each request contains the ticker symbols you are looking at and, as with any web request, your IP address. It contains no identifier of you or of your portfolio: Yahoo cannot see how many shares you hold or what the positions are worth. See the Yahoo Privacy Policy.
If you enable the news tab, headlines are fetched from the same Yahoo Finance search endpoint.
Price and portfolio alerts are evaluated on your device and delivered as local notifications. We do not send push notifications from any server.
You can optionally enter a Discord or Slack webhook URL to mirror your alerts to a channel of your choice. If you do, the App posts the alert text (symbol, price, threshold) directly from your device to the URL you provided. The webhook URL is stored on your device only; we never see it, and the feature is off unless you turn it on.
StockDock is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
StockDock displays market data for information only. It is not investment advice, and quotes may be delayed or inaccurate.
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
