Overview
Scirocco (“the App”) is developed by Simone Ruggiero. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Data Collection
Scirocco does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our own servers. Your waypoints, vessels, and tracks are stored locally on your device.
What the App accesses:
- Location: The App accesses your device location (GPS) to provide nautical navigation, position you on the chart, and record waypoints and tracks. Location is processed on-device and is not sent to us or used for advertising.
- Nautical charts (map tiles): To display the chart, the App downloads map tiles from OpenStreetMap and OpenSeaMap. As with any web request, these providers receive the map area you are viewing and your IP address. They are not given your identity.
What the App does NOT do:
- We do not collect analytics or usage data
- We do not use advertising identifiers
- We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising
Third-Party Services
- RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions; may collect an anonymous device identifier and purchase/subscription history. See their Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit — process in-app purchases; all payment data is handled directly by Google or Apple under their respective privacy policies.
- OpenStreetMap / OpenSeaMap — provide the nautical map tiles (see “Location” above).
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
