Privacy Policy — PhotoTrim
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Overview
PhotoTrim (“the App”) is developed by Simone Ruggiero. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.
Data Collection
PhotoTrim does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account and no backend of ours: apart from subscription management (see below), the App makes no network requests at all. All photo and video processing happens entirely on your device.
What the App accesses
- Photo Library (read): to analyse how much storage your media takes, find duplicates and similar shots, and compress photos and videos. Your media is read on the device and never uploaded anywhere.
- Photo Library (add): to save the compressed copies back to your library, when you ask for it.
- Device storage info: the App reads the device’s storage capacity to show usage statistics. This information is not transmitted.
Your analysis results, settings and history are kept on the device and are not synced to iCloud or any other cloud service by the App.
What the App does NOT do
- No analytics, crash-reporting or usage-tracking SDKs
- No location access
- No advertising identifiers (no IDFA) and no cross-app tracking
- No sharing or selling of data to third parties
- No upload of your photos or videos to any server
Third-Party Services
- RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. It receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier, purchase and subscription history, and the store country. No personal information is shared. See their Privacy Policy. If you installed the App after tapping an Apple Ads advertisement, the App also passes RevenueCat the attribution token provided by Apple’s AdServices framework: it only tells us which ad campaign led to the install, contains no personal data and does not require tracking permission.
- Apple StoreKit — processes in-app purchases; all payment data is handled directly by Apple under its privacy policy.
- Refund requests: if you request a refund for an in-app purchase on the Apple App Store, Apple may ask us — via RevenueCat — to share data about your use of the App related to that purchase (“consumption data”) to help Apple decide on the refund, in line with Apple’s guidelines. This data is used only to process the refund request.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
